An opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing environmental issues, while tucking in to an enjoyable meal, with like minded people.
Rather than listen to presentations, as happens at our Green Drinks events, this time we want you to get involved. This is a space to get stuck into a good discussion, what are the problems, what are the issues, how do we go about solving them, what can be done about these issues?
You will be sat at a table with a mix of people, SEDA and non SEDA Members, strangers, and friends alike. We will give each table a topic for discussion and between mouthfuls of delicious freshly made food, you can discuss the issues surrounding that topic, giving a brief summary at the end of your meal to the rest of the tables before tucking into a yummy dessert!
We’ll have a short presentation while your food is being prepared from the owner and founder of the Unity Grill to tell you a little about how they try to combat the environmental issues in their local community and further afield.
So it could be 'plastic pollution' or 'vegan/vegetarian diets' or 'housing in scotland' but whatever the topic, it’s an opportunity to meet new people, discuss environmental issues and support a good social enterprise.
There will be time for drinks after the meal, or for those of you travelling back to Glasgow or Edinburgh we will stop with plenty of time to catch trains and buses back up the road. If successful, we hope to organise another Green Dinners event in the near future at the Glad Cafe in Glasgow.
Please invite your friends, colleagues and peers. It should be a great evening!
We will be charging £10 deposit when you reserve your place, and the remainder of your bill will be settled on the night.
Please take the opportunity to pre-order your choice of meal from our drop-down menu, as this makes the whole evening run more smoothly. Trust us, you can’t go wrong with any of your choices - the food is scrumptious.
