Dave Cooper, artisan builder, drummer and Portobello resident, wanted to create a very low energy family home where he did a fair bit of the work to finish it off.

John Kinsley is a chartered architect who "tries to work with a quiet reverence for the materials with which we build, the place where we build and the planet on which we build ... in a way that reflects the optimism and passion of our clients".

David Cousland works with Ecology Building Society providing green residential mortgages and lending to community-led housing projects. Interest rates depend on: The energy specification - the better the energy spec the lower the rate, the strength of the business plan and the potential social impact.
